The building collapsed in the month of September. In this, 8 people died and about 27 people were injured. After that, the investigation of the building construction was given to the team of National Forensic Science University of Gandhi Gram, Gujarat. A team of 4 member technical experts had come from there.
Structural design of the building was sought from LDA
After the building collapsed in September, the team saw the debris and asked for the structural design of the building from the LDA. According to officials, forensic investigation has revealed that poor quality cement, rods and construction materials were used in the construction of the building. The team included Professor Dr. RK Shah, Associate Professor Merul Vakil and Prof. Dr. Praveen Gupta had collected the sample and taken it along.
Other buildings nearby were also sealed.
Columns and beams were measured
Experts, along with LDA officials and engineers, measured the thickness of the damaged slab, columns and beams and examined the samples. Let us tell you that in September, a three-storey building built on plot number C-54 had collapsed. Pieces of angles, rebar, cement, roof and wall etc. were found in the debris.
Whose length, width etc. were noted along with video and photography. Beams, pillars, rebar, roof, walls etc. were also examined for samples. Said, which beam, pillar, rebar etc. were installed on which floor. When investigation was done at every level, shoddy work was confirmed in many cases. At present this report is still preliminary. The final report is yet to come. Only after this, LDA officials are talking about taking further action.
The government asked for the name of the responsible officer
Earlier, the governance committee had asked the LDA for the names of the officers and employees responsible for not ensuring compliance with the approved map and conditions. Apart from this, for the construction of the building, an architect and engineer were given the responsibility to supervise the work. This information has also been sought. Now the government committee will also take action on the basis of the report of National Forensic Science University.
