Binda Devi, a fasting woman returning after offering the first half of Chhath Puja at Harivallampur Chaktarfia Ganga Ghat in Muhammadabad area of Ghazipur, died after falling. Due to this tragic death of Binda Devi, the entire village was immersed in grief and the happiness of Chhath festival turned into mourning.

Binda Devi of Chaktarfia village had gone to worship at Ganga Ghat after observing Chhath fast. After offering Ardha, she was returning home late in the evening with her family and other women of the village. While climbing some distance on the Arar road above Ganga Ghat, she suddenly lost her balance, due to which Binda Devi kept rolling down. The people present there immediately took him to CHC hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
After this tragic accident, all the happiness of Chhath Puja turned into sorrow. Binda Devi’s family includes her husband Umashankar Yadav, two daughters and a son, who are deeply shocked after losing their mother. The village people and relatives are trying to console the family, but their screams are making the entire atmosphere sad.
