Last night at around 1 o’clock, Khurja Nagar police station was checking a suspicious vehicle at Kiswagarhi turn on the basis of an information. At the same time, two suspicious persons were seen coming from Jewar on a bike, who did not stop when signaled to stop. The accused miscreants fired at the police team and started speeding away on the bike towards Saunda Habibpur village.
On this, the miscreants were chased by the police team and at some distance near the colony under construction, the bike of the miscreants went out of control and slipped. Seeing himself surrounded by the police, the miscreant opened fire on the police team with the intention of killing him.
In the retaliatory firing by the police team, the miscreant got injured by being shot in the leg and 01 miscreant escaped due to darkness, efforts are being made to arrest him by combing. The arrested miscreant has been identified as Gaurav, son of Nanak, resident of village Shahpur. Kalan police station has been formed as Khurja Nagar.
