New Delhi. Popular two-wheeler manufacturer LML is once again going to make its debut in the Indian market. However, this time the company will not launch any petrol bike or scooter, rather the company plans to launch an electric scooter in the market. Yes, LML is planning to launch its upli electric scooter LML Star with full preparation in the Indian market. Under this, the company has also disclosed the design patent of its electric scooter.
The company has partnered with Saira Electric Auto Private Limited (SEAPL) for manufacturing and research of electric scooters. The upcoming electric scooter has been designed in collaboration with experienced Italian designers who have worked with leading brands like Ducati, Ferrari, Yamaha and Kawasaki.
The design of the scooter is attractive
LML Star electric scooter will be equipped with completely modern design and features. According to the information, the scooter has a maxi scooter design with a flat floor board and red accents under the seat and on the pillion grab handle. The front apron has a dual-tone design with DRLs and automatic headlamps. However, it remains to be seen how the Star competes with electric scooters like Ather and Ola in the EV market.
Not much information is available about the battery, range and performance of the scooter, but from the pictures we can see that the scooter has a mid-mounted motor that powers the rear wheel through a belt drive system. The scooter is hung on telescopic forks and side mounted monoshock. Front and rear disc brakes are provided for braking. Features like single channel ABS can also be provided in the scooter. It is expected that the company will launch Star in the Indian market in the upcoming festive season.
