Nainital – Preparations for Christmas and New Year celebrations have started with the month of November in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The cake mixing ceremony was organized at the prestigious Namah Radiance Hotel in Nainital. This ceremony is organized about 40 to 45 days before Christmas. In this, liquor or wine is used to preserve many types of dry fruits. Cake mixing ceremony is celebrated to attract tourists and also to celebrate Christmas. Tourists also enjoy this ceremony a lot.
Naresh Gupta, manager of Namah Radiance Hotel, told during a special conversation with Local18 that the cake mixing ceremony is celebrated in hotels before Christmas. This ceremony has been celebrated in Nainital also for many years. Hotel Namah Radiance has started in Nainital this year itself. This is the first cake mixing ceremony in Nainital under the banner of Redition Group. With this the celebration of Christmas begins.
The ceremony started from Britain
Mahesh Mato, Executive Chef of Namah Radiance Hotel, said that the cake mixing ceremony started in Britain in the 17th century. This ceremony is celebrated in many hotels in India. He told that to make Christmas cake, orange peel, ginger peel along with cashews, almonds and other dry fruits are kept for a month in advance to be soaked in wine. And before Christmas, plum cake is prepared on 24th December.
