Dehradun. Awaaz The Devbhoomi Trust is going to organize Youth Parliament in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, for the youth interested in politics. In this, veterans associated with politics will discuss with the youth the aspects of Parliament, Assembly and UN. In this, students will get experience of parliamentary process and functioning. These students will be able to come face to face with democratic traditions. Advocate Vansh Maheshwari, founder of Awaaz the Devbhoomi Trust, while giving information to Local 18, said that Youth Parliament is being organized in Maya Devi University of Dehradun. On November 9 and 10, the youth will be introduced to new issues under the ‘National Model United Nation and Youth Parliament’. He said that the Youth Parliament will be a program in which the youth will be given information about the parliamentary process and democratic traditions. In this, the youth will be made to experience parliamentary proceedings by arranging a mock parliament. Through the Youth Parliament, the youth will be given an opportunity to discuss national issues and important state issues like land law and migration and will be able to express their opinions just like in the Youth Parliament. He said that the objective of the Youth Parliament is that the youth can become familiar with the current agenda of Parliament and politics and can directly experience the debates taking place in the Parliament. They can develop discussion and debate skills on political aspects. He told that we are starting the program from November 9 because on this day the state will celebrate its 25th foundation year but till now the land law has not been made due to which people come out on the streets with their demands. Along with this, the ghost villages of Uttarakhand and migration will also be discussed which is a big problem. There will also be discussion on the international press, the fourth pillar of democracy.
