There is discussion in the entire university about the end of the tenure of the Vice Chancellor of Kashi Hindu University. Harikesh Bahadur Singh, who filed this petition, said – A lot of money was spent under the Institute of Eminence. This should also be investigated. Harikesh Bahadur has also complained about this to the President. He said that many decisions have been taken on finance, investment, property in the university without EC and huge expenses are being incurred.
Question raised on taking decisions without EC
Harikesh Bahadur Singh said – In BHU Act- 2015, the Vice Chancellor has been given the privilege in emergency under Seven-C (5). Decisions can be taken without EC, but legitimacy also has to be given in the next EC meeting. But, there is no EC in BHU for three years, so where will the meeting take place. Now the date of hearing in this case in the High Court is on 11th November.
PIL filed on 5th November
Harikesh Bahadur Singh has filed this PIL on November 5. Recently, the appointment of Rector in BHU was done under this Seven-C (5) rule. At the same time, it is also alleged that many decisions regarding other appointments, promotions, recruitments etc. have been taken according to this rule.

Some people had discussed this topic with Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the convocation ceremony of IIT BHU. At the same time, when Dharmendra Pradhan was asked that EC has not been implemented in BHU yet, he replied that “the work is going on.”
