Pithoragarh. After years of waiting, air service has finally started directly from Pithoragarh to Delhi. Alliance Air has started this air service with the help of 42 seater plane. In the first phase, Alliance Air planes will fly between Delhi and Pithoragarh 3 days a week. Pithoragarh-Delhi air service, which was closed for the last 4 years, has started once again. Alliance Air’s 42 seater plane with 21 passengers from Delhi reached Naini-Saini Airport in about an hour.
The first flight of Alliance Air was also celebrated with water cannon. There was no limit to the happiness of the passengers as the difficult journey of 12 hours was completed in just one hour. According to the information received, the flight fare has been fixed at around Rs 7500.
Questions are being raised regarding expensive air service
Air service from Pithoragarh to Dehradun and Pantnagar has already started. In such a situation, now the border district is connected to Dehradun-Pantnagar as well as Delhi through air service. On the first day, 21 passengers flew from Delhi to Pithoragarh, while the plane left for Delhi with 27 passengers. Tourism business is now expected to benefit significantly with the start of air service between Delhi-Pithoragarh. At the same time, questions are also being raised regarding the huge fares.
Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta says that directly from the border district Delhi Starting air service will be beneficial in many ways. Pithoragarh MLA Mayukh Mehar says that air service has been made very expensive. This will make it difficult for common people to travel by air.
With the commencement of regular air service to Delhi, new hopes are also gaining wings. Along with Pithoragarh, Almora, Bageshwar and Champawat districts will also benefit from this airport. Not only this, the people of the mountains spread across the country and the world will be able to easily connect with their soil. In many ways this plane service will prove to be a milestone.
