Varanasi Development Authority, responsible for the development of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, launched a vigorous campaign in the month of October. VDA also conducted surveys and raids regarding standards in the city. Teams were also seen continuously active in five zones.

Although VDA does not have any big project right now, its earnings are increasing day by day. Varanasi Development Authority has earned more than five and a half crore rupees through mitigation fees in the month of October.
Zone-2 report on number one
Varanasi Development Authority Vice Chairman Pulkit Garg told in the Map Day Camp meeting in VDA premises that Zone-2 is at number one in terms of collecting mitigation fees in the month of October. Zonal Officer Sanjeev Kumar and his team have collected mitigation fee of Rs 2 crore 42 lakh 23 thousand 893.
Zone-4 is on the second number, the team of Zone-4 collected mitigation fee of Rs 1 crore 34 lakh 83 thousand 462. Zone-3 is at number three, the zonal officer deposited Rs 70 lakh 96 thousand 890 from this zone.
The team of Zone 1 stood at fourth position. The officer and his team recovered Rs 55 lakh 10 thousand 481 from Zone-1. The worst performing team was Zone-5. Deposited Rs 48 lakh 29 thousand 115 in Zone 5.
Zone-2 also won in getting the map approved
Zone 2 officials also remained on top in recovery of mitigation fees. In Zone-2 and Zone-1, maximum 18 maps each were approved in the month of October. Zone-3 team got 16 maps approved and Zone-4 team got 12 maps approved. The team of Zone-5, which was at the bottom in collecting mitigation fees, got only 05 maps approved in a month.
An under construction house sealed in Sarnath The team of Varanasi Development Authority on Friday sealed the house under construction being built by Rajesh Patel in Hiramanpur, Sarnath. Rajesh Patel was constructing G Plus 1 in 92 square meters without getting the map approved. VDA had issued a notice during the construction but the construction continued on which the VDA team took action today.
