On November 3, thieves stole gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs of rupees by cutting the trolley bag of a female constable returning to Haldwani in the bus. This female constable is posted in Haldwani police station and was returning from her maternal home in Kashipur.
What is the whole matter?
A female constable living in the family quarter of Haldwani was returning to Haldwani with her sister on November 3 by roadways bus (UK 07 BA 2901). There was a trolley bag with him, in which gold and silver ornaments were kept, the value of which is said to be around Rs 8 lakh. These jewelery included a gold nose ring worth 1.5 tola, a mang tikka worth 0.5 tola, two pairs of gold earrings worth 1.5 tola, two gold rings worth 1 tola and a gold choker.
Fear of theft between Ramnagar and Haldwani
When the bus reached Haldwani via Ramnagar and Kaladhungi, the lady constable checked the bag. The shocking thing was that there was a cut near the chain of the trolley bag, and the purse containing the jewelery kept in it was missing. The woman immediately informed the police. He told that the theft took place between Ramnagar and Haldwani.
Police investigation continues
Haldwani Kotwal Rajesh Yadav said that a case has been registered against unknown thieves. The police is examining the CCTV footage so that the accused can be traced and arrested as soon as possible.
