New Delhi. The demand for electric two-wheelers is continuously increasing among Indian customers. Sales have also increased due to more options of electric two-wheelers being available in the market. Talking about electric two-wheelers, electric scooters are in highest demand in this segment. Many companies including TVS, Hero, Ather are selling their electric scooters in the market, but there is one company which has left these big companies behind in terms of sales.
Here we are talking about Ola Electric, the market leader of the electric scooter segment, which sold a total of 41,624 units of electric scooters in July 2024 with an annual increase of 114.49 percent. Exactly a year ago i.e. in July 2023, the total sales of the company were only 19,406 units. Due to this increase in sales, Ola Electric’s market share in this segment has increased to 38.64 percent. Annual sales of TVS and Bajaj increased
TVS was at second place in this list of sales. During this period, TVS sold a total of 19,486 units of electric two-wheelers with an annual increase of 87.40 percent. TVS is selling three models of its iQube electric scooter in the market. Bajaj stood third in this list, registering a total sale of 17,657 units of electric two-wheeler with an annual increase of 327.43 percent.
Apart from this, Ather was at number four in this list of sales. During this period, Ather sold a total of 10,087 units of electric two-wheelers with an annual increase of 50.89 percent. Whereas Hero MotoCorp remained at fifth position in this list by selling a total of 5,045 units of Vida electric scooter with an annual growth of 409.60 percent.
Ola’s three models available in the market
At present, three electric scooter models of Ola Electric are available in the market. These include S1 Pro, S1 Air and S1 Ola S1 pro is the company’s most premium electric scooter which is priced at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
