Amit Kumar, Samastipur: Chhath Puja is an important occasion in Bihar, which inspires lakhs of migrants to return to their homes every year and celebrate this festival. Especially people from Bihar working in Mumbai and other cities return home during this period. When people think of returning after the completion of Chhath Puja, they are worried about crowding in the train and availability of tickets. Keeping this in view, Samastipur Railway Division has taken a special initiative.
Special puja special train will run from Samastipur to Mumbai on 10th November.
A special Puja special train (train number 05561) will be run from Samastipur Junction on 10 November 2024. This train will run from Samastipur to LTT Railway Station in Mumbai and will stop at many major stations, giving passengers more options for their journey.

This train will reach LTT stopping at Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra, Danapur, Arrah, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, Mankapur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik, Igatpuri and Kalyan stations.
Appeal to passengers
Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Railways has suggested that they can get the time and route information of Train No. 05561 through Railway’s mobile app or other means. With this they can make their travel more convenient and organized. Chief Public Relations Officer of Railways said that this special train service has been started with the aim of providing relief to the passengers returning after Chhath Puja.
