Taekwondo training is given to children every evening in Tallital and Mallital of Nainital. In which local school children are participating enthusiastically. Most of the participating children are girls who have played up to national level in Taekwondo. Jyoti Durgapal, instructor of Vrindavan Taekwondo Club of Nainital, said that she gives training to children daily. And from time to time Taekwondo competitions are also organized in Nainital. Due to which on one hand the interest of children is increasing in Taekwondo and on the other hand girls are also learning the tricks of self-defense.
Jyoti tells that she gives Taekwondo training to children every day from 4.30 pm to 7 pm. She has been training Taekwondo to children in Nainital for the last 10 years. He told that the players taught by him participate in national competitions every year. Latika Bhandari of Nainital district has also brought laurels to the state at the international level in Taekwondo. He told that the way women’s safety is being talked about these days. When incidents of rape and molestation against women are being seen every day in the country, Taekwondo supports women. It also strengthens you physically and mentally.

Sonia Pandey, who has represented the state twice at the national level in Taekwondo, says that she has played Taekwondo National twice in Assam and Puducherry. In the future, she wants to teach self-defense skills to women by learning Taekwondo.
22 children will participate in state level competition
Many competitions are organized throughout the year to promote Taekwondo in Nainital. This time also a Taekwondo competition was organized last Sunday in which children were selected for the state level competition. In which 22 children were selected for the state level competition. Organizing Secretary Jyoti Durgapal told that in the girls category, Bhumika, Kritika, Roshni, Sanskriti Pawar, Anushka Shah, Gargi Bhatt, Himanshi, Aaradhya Dangi, Riddhi and in the boys category, Abhyudaya Pandey, Aarav Singh, Kunj, Gaurav, Manan, Khush, Harshit. , Siddharth, Subhan Ali, Manas Chandra, Divyansh Mehra, Aarav and Naitik won gold medals. Selected players will participate in the state level competition on 14-15 November.
