The last day of the historic Ramlila staging organized under the aegis of Hanumat Ramlila Committee Surapur Purani Bazaar in Sultanpur ended with the staging of Raja Harishchandra play after Ram-Bharat Milaap. After donating his empire, Harishchandra goes to Kashi along with his wife Tara and son Rohit to give Dakshina and is sold. Raja is bought by the Brahmin family of Kashi along with Dom of Marghat and Rohit along with Tara. One day Rohit gets bitten by a snake. Tara goes to Marghat with her son Rohit. Where Harishchandra, following his religion, refuses to burn the dead body without paying tax. At last, Tara tears the pallu of her saree and wants to shroud her, then God appears and brings Rohit back to life.
