Actually, Indane Gas Company has 22,189 domestic gas connections in Almora region of Uttarakhand, out of which only 14,905 people have updated KYC so far. If you have not updated the KYC of your connection, then get it done immediately, because if you do not do so, your gas connection may be closed. Its last date is 30 November 2024.
You can update the KYC of your gas connection by visiting Indane Gas office in Almora. Apart from this, camps are also being set up at various places by the Gas Office employees. For this you will have to carry Aadhar card (in whose name the gas connection is), gas passbook and your registered mobile number. You do not have to pay any charge for updating KYC.
Campaign running from March 2024
Almora Indane Gas Manager Mukesh Jalal told Local 18 that a campaign to update KYC is being run by Indian Oil from March 2024. Regarding this, people are being told in all the areas of Almora district why it is mandatory to update KYC. In this regard, camps have also been organized by the department at various places. Those whose KYC is not updated, their connections may also be stopped in future. If gas connections are closed, people will face difficulty in getting refills and subsidies may stop coming. He said that KYC is being updated because it is being done to know whether the consumers are running their own gas connection or whether someone else is using it. Mukesh Jalal has appealed to the people that all the consumers should get the KYC of their connections done as soon as possible.
