On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that the topic on which the competition was held is a very serious issue. It is the responsibility of every Indian to give respect and rights to women. Our government has always given women the first place. Today the President of the country is a woman, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is a woman and the Mayor of our city is also a woman. This makes it clear that we are not just respecting women on paper but are also making them reach a position where they can lead and empower the women of the entire society.
On this occasion, National Vice President of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Rita Bahuguna Joshi said, my mother Kamala Bahuguna always fought for women’s empowerment and rights. The objective of this debate competition is to inculcate awareness and courage in the young generation by cherishing the same values, so that they can contribute towards ensuring the real equality of women in the society.
