New Delhi. In the Indian market, companies like Hero and Honda dominate the 100cc to 125cc motorcycles. Many companies are making bikes in 150cc also. But when it comes to 350cc bikes, Royal Enfield is the only company which has unilateral dominance in this segment. If we look at the figures of April, Royal Enfield has registered strong sales of 350cc motorcycles.
According to the sales report, the company has sold a total of 81,870 motorcycles (domestic and export) during April 2024, whereas 73,136 bikes were sold in the same month last year. The company sold 75,038 Royal Enfield bikes in the domestic market, which is 9 percent more than 68,881 units sold in the same month last year.
Royal Enfield is the largest manufacturer of 350cc motorcycles.
Exports also increased
The company exported 6,832 two-wheelers during the last month, which was 4,255 units in April 2023. There has been an increase of 61 percent in exports on annual basis. Royal Enfield has seen the biggest increase in sales in the 350cc range, which includes Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor. Its sales increased by 12.57 percent to 72,866 in April, which was 64,728 last year. This segment has a share of 89 percent in the total sales of the company.
The demand for Made in India Royal Enfield bikes abroad is increasing rapidly. Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan says that this year we are trying our best to increase the sales numbers.
