Haldwani. A case of death of a student of Nainital district of Uttarakhand allegedly due to drowning in a water park has come to light. The deceased was a student of a reputed school in Haldwani. On Children’s Day, the school took the students to Bareilly Fun City Water Park. In this tour, 130 students went to Bareilly by buses. Four teachers of the school had accompanied the students on the tour. The name of the deceased was Anjali Rawat (17). She studied in class 12 in KVM Senior Secondary School, Haldwani. The incident is being investigated by the police.
Anjali Rawat’s family is a resident of Mukhani police station area of Haldwani. His father is working in the Indian Army. According to the information received from the police, on the morning of Children’s Day, all the students left by buses to go to Fun City Water Park in Bareilly. As soon as they reached there everyone started having fun. It is being told that Anjali suddenly fainted in the water of the water park. He was taken to a private hospital in Bareilly in an unconscious state, where doctors declared him dead. After Anjali’s death the school administration was in despair. He somehow informed this to the victim’s family. The teacher who had accompanied him on the school tour reached Haldwani with Anjali’s body. The post-mortem of the student was done on Friday.
Anjali Rawat was completely healthy
Mother Sarita Rawat became unconscious after hearing the news of her daughter’s death. The family members of the deceased say that they were first informed over phone about Anjali becoming unconscious. After some time his death was reported. He alleged that his daughter Anjali was completely healthy. The school administration is making different statements. His daughter has been murdered. He has demanded an impartial investigation into the matter from the police and has demanded the strictest punishment against the culprits. CO City Nitin Lohani says that the matter is being investigated. The cause of death will be known from the post mortem report.
