A case of 10 pages of case diary and 25 pages missing from the charge sheet of a dowry harassment case from Lucknow’s Chowk police station has come to light. This was revealed when the chargesheet was not received during the hearing of the case in the court. After which the investigation by the officials found the matter to be true. ji

A case of dowry harassment was registered in December 2013. According to police sources, Komal Aggarwal, a resident of Chowk Phool Wali Gali, had filed a case of dowry harassment against her husband and in-laws in September 2013. Investigating Sub-Inspector Dinesh Singh had filed the charge sheet on 31 December 2013. During the trial in the court, it came to light that the case diary was not submitted in the court. After which the concerned police station and officials were informed. Considering the seriousness of the matter, investigation of the entire matter was handed over to ACP Bazarkhala. ACP’s investigation revealed that 10 pages of the case diary and 15 pages of the charge sheet had been missing. Due to this, complete papers were not found in the court. Based on the report of ACP Bazaarkhala, ACP Chowk was instructed to take action in this matter. After which, on his orders, on Thursday, a case was registered against the unknown policeman against the complaint of constable Vipin Singh posted at Chowk police station.
