Due to this, their prices have also been continuously increasing. Counter Point Research said in its global report that smartphone prices may increase by 5 percent by next year. The biggest reason for the increase in prices is a small part which plays an important role in manufacturing the mobile phone.
In fact, to use artificial technology in premium smartphones, powerful chipsets, memory modules and other devices are required. Now big chipset manufacturing companies are facing declining margins due to increasing manufacturing costs. In such a situation, companies are increasing the prices of chipsets, which will have a direct impact on the prices of mobile phones.
Chip companies preparing to increase prices
The world’s largest chipset makers Qualcomm and MediaTek Wafer are increasing prices. Taiwan’s chipset company TSMC is increasing the prices of 5 and 3 nm processors. In such a situation, industry people say that companies can pass on the impact of the increasing cost of chip sets to consumers. In such a situation, if the prices increase by 5 percent, then the price of a phone priced at Rs 20,000 can go up to Rs 21,000.
Smartphone ever price in the world is Rs 30000
Due to the increasing manufacturing cost of chip sets, companies want to maintain their dominance, hence it is necessary for us to increase the prices. Smartphone industry officials say that next generation chip set is necessary for premium smartphones. Since these are 20 percent more expensive than normal chip sets, the increase in their prices is bound to affect the prices of mobile phones.
Let us tell you that Counter Point Research has said in its note that the average selling price of smartphones worldwide is estimated to be more than 365 dollars i.e. 30000 rupees.
