Strike going on for 13 days
Farmers of village Bhadraula have been protesting for the last 13 days. They allege that the Sugarcane Commissioner has shifted the purchasing center of Bhadraula farmers from Asmoli Sugar Mill and allotted it to Shahbad Sugarcane Mill in Rampur district. Farmers say that their village is just 12 kilometers away from Asmoli sugar mill, while Shahbad sugar mill is 80 kilometers away.
Demand for increase in sugarcane price
The farmers demanded increase in sugarcane price and warned that if their demands were not met, they would block the Hasanpur road. Arjun Singh, Amarpal Singh, Jaspal Singh, Smarpal Singh, Bablu Singh, Guru Bachchan Singh, Upendra Singh, Nagendra Singh and Amit Chaudhary and other farmer leaders were prominently present in this demonstration.
Chaudhary Sanjeev Gandhi’s statement
West Uttar Pradesh in-charge Chaudhary Sanjeev Gandhi said that the farmers of Bhadraula village were supplying sugarcane to Asmoli Sugar Mill for the last 27 years, but now their protest will continue against the decision of the Sugarcane Commissioner. They also said that if their demands were not met, they would also burn sugarcane at the sugarcane appropriate office in Moradabad.

Farmers said that if their demands are not met soon, they will block the Sambhal-Hassanpur road. Their main objective is to connect Bhadraula village with Asmoli sugar mill and achieve increase in sugarcane price.
