Dr. Prerna Kukreti, Associate Professor and Psychiatrist of Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, says that there are many factors behind separation at this age level. She says, ‘If we talk about marriage, this relationship happens in many phases. When you get married, you are young and you are in love. Responsibilities are less and there is more attraction. Then you become a parent. Gradually, mothers completely devote themselves to their children and husbands often remain busy in their work and earning money. Many times, in becoming parents of children and providing every facility for them, people forget that they are also husband and wife. But after a certain age, when the children grow up and move ahead in their lives, then you feel emptiness in this marriage.
AR Rahman married his wife Saira Banu in the year 1995. Rehman and Saira Banu’s marriage was an arranged marriage, and was Banu’s mother’s choice. The couple has three children and married their daughter Khatija a few years ago. AR Rahman, who has made a name for himself in the country and the world, has received many awards. Apart from creating a stir at the Oscars for the song ‘Jai Ho’, Rahman has given music for many superhit films. Rehman’s fees run into crores. If reports are to be believed, AR Rahman’s total wealth is Rs 280 million i.e. Rs 2100 crore.
