Anganwadi workers have alleged that the block officer, supervisor and CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) are illegally collecting Rs 800 per worker in lieu of releasing funds including Covid honorarium and other funds. If the recovery is refused, the centers are threatened with intimidation and termination of service in the name of investigation. On November 15, the workers had complained to MLA Jai Devi Kaushal regarding these allegations.
Taking this seriously, the MLA wrote a letter to the departmental minister demanding an investigation, after which there was a stir in the department.
