Police recovered 11 chains from the female thieves arrested in Ramnagar police station of Varanasi.

The women of the gang deceived the police by telling each other villages and wrong names and addresses. Many of these women wrote the names of their husbands after hearing the other’s name. The husband, father and address of many accused women were found to be the same. When the team of the concerned districts investigated, many names and addresses were not found. After this, strictness was also shown but no one confessed to the incidents till now.
Police could so far recover only 11 chains from the arrested women thieves, while the number of major theft incidents is more than 200, while many cases of lost goods have been reported in Khoya Paya Camp. Police have registered FIR in only one case, in which these women will be sent to jail. However, till now incidents of theft have come to light in more than 50 programs.
Police brought 15 women who had committed theft in Shiv Mahapuran in Domari, Ramnagar to the police station and interrogated them, but all of them gave wrong names and addresses.
Shiv Mahapuran has been organized on the banks of Ganga by Satua Baba Ashram in Domari, Ramnagar. Famous storyteller Pradeep Mishra is narrating the story of Shiv Mahapuran, more than 200 incidents of theft have come to light in the two-day story. In this, most of the cases of theft of jewelery are from women, some’s chain, mangalsutra and some other jewelery have been stolen.
After continuous reports of theft, there was panic not only in the police station but even in the police commissioner. Amidst the complaints, police commissioner Mohit Aggarwal immediately inspected the venue, warned the Ramnagar police to take immediate action and after scanning the CC footage, arrested 5 women. taken. Amidst the swift action, 5 women were caught by local people and 5 others were caught on the spot.
On Thursday evening, 15 women were brought to the Khoya Paya Camp of the venue and interrogated, then brought to Ramnagar police station. During police interrogation, the women arbitrarily wrote their names, addresses and mobile numbers. When verification was done by giving information in those police stations, most of them were found to be fake.

Women accused active members of interstate gang
According to ACP Ishant Soni, the gang whose active 11 female thieves have been caught by the police is an interstate gang. This gang carries out crimes at big event venues and never reveals the correct name and address. Its leader operates the gang from the border area of Gorakhpur.
The accused themselves confessed that they go to such events and commit crimes. She had come to the Katha place in Varanasi with the intention of theft. However, during the search of the accused, the police recovered gold worth more than 10 years, which included two gold chains and 9 gold mangalsutras.
According to SO Ramnagar, all the women are residents of other districts but their names and addresses have not been verified yet. Everyone has given wrong names and addresses, complete information of which is being collected. His criminal history is also being investigated. A case has been registered against everyone in Ramnagar police station.

Team formed on information about chain-mangalsutra theft
ACP Kotwali Dr. Ishaan Soni said that after the incidents of theft at the scene, a police team was formed and the thieves were monitored. Ramnagar Police Station Head Raju Singh along with Inspector Shivam Soni, Omprakash Verma, Sujata Chatterjee and Garima Gautam identified the accused women with the help of the footage of CC cameras installed at the crime scene.
ACP Ishan Soni told that the women who committed the crime had arrived two days before the start of the Katha, they had set up their tents and were active at the Katha site as devotees. After taking bath in the morning, women used to sit in different blocks. These fifteen women committed the crime by changing places during the story. She used to first look for elderly or sick listeners for committing theft. She used to become close to the women who came wearing shawls and passed on their jewellery, chains, earrings etc. All the activities were captured in CCTV.

Police Commissioner tested security arrangements in Domri
Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal inspected Shiv Mahapuran Kathasthal, Satua Baba Ashram. The entire team, including the police station, was deployed to uncover the theft incident and it was also said that CCTV footage would be scrutinized. The CP himself checked the blocks inside the venue and interacted with the devotees.
When the CP checked the boat coming to the scene from the river route, people were found exceeding its capacity and without life jackets. The CP directed the police to take immediate action against the boat driver. Said about presence of police at Rajghat bridge, halt and Bhadau octroi since morning and no jam.
Instructed to keep a special eye on the criminal elements in the fair and to monitor the gang of women stealing women’s chains.
