Sent a letter to the government
Principal of Medical College, Almora, Dr. CP Bhaisoda told that the posts of Audiologist Technician are lying vacant here. Continuous efforts are being made for this and a letter has also been sent to the government. He told that audiologist removes problems related to hearing, balance and hearing. In this, various treatments like hearing test, treatment of hearing related problems, selection and fitting of hearing aids are done.
Apart from this, it also issues certificates for disabled people, but due to lack of audiologist in the medical college, patients are facing a lot of problems. He told that it is expected that audiologist will be posted in the medical college as soon as possible and the patients will benefit from this.
Have to go towards metros
Audiologist technicians also do the work of preparing medical papers of disabled people and making their certificates. But due to lack of audiologist in the medical college, patients have to go to metros other than Haldwani, Bareilly. There is no audiologist in the medical college for BRA test. Now it remains to be seen how long will the posts of audiologist be filled in the Medical College of Almora and how long will the patients be able to get this facility.
