Srinagar Garhwal. Some youth were dancing during the cultural evening of Baikunth Chaturdashi fair in Srinagar Garhwal of Pauri district of Uttarakhand. During the dance, there was a dispute among some youth. The dispute escalated so much that it reached the point of fighting. During this, there was a lot of kicking and punching, and even a young man was attacked with a sharp weapon. The injured youth was immediately taken to the base hospital, where the condition of the injured was declared critical and he was referred to Dehradun. Police have arrested two accused in this case. Now the video of this incident has surfaced.
According to the information received, the incident took place last Wednesday during the cultural evening of Baikuntha Chaturdashi at Awas Vikas Maidan. A large number of people were present during the cultural evening. During this time, a dispute broke out between some youths while dancing. The dispute that started with an altercation turned into a fight. A young man attacked another young man with a sharp weapon. There was chaos at the fair site. The injured was immediately taken to Base Hospital Srikot, where as his condition became critical, he was referred to Dehradun. His treatment is continuing.
Police caught three youths who assaulted
After about an hour, the youth who attacked again reached the fair venue. Here some youths recognized the youths who had assaulted them and caught them and informed the police. During this time, two out of five youths ran away and three were caught. It is being told that all of them are residents of Kirtinagar area and had reached Srinagar for the fair. Inspector Mani Bhushan Srivastava, in-charge of Srinagar Kotwali, said that the youth injured in this case has been identified as 19-year-old Keshav Das, resident of Tamta Mohalla, Srinagar. Three youths have been arrested. No complaint has been given yet by the family members of the injured youth. On receiving the complaint, further action will be taken.
