Actor Naga Chaitanya is known for his work in Telugu cinema. He was born on November 23, 1986, to renowned actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Ramana. Known for his versatile roles, he has garnered a strong fan following. Apart from his successful film career, his personal life, including his marriage to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu (later divorced), and his rumoured relationship with actress Sobhita Dhulipala, has often been a topic of media attention.
The actor is celebrating his 38th birthday today, on November 23. He made his acting career in 2009 with the movie Josh which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South.

100% Love (2011)
A romantic comedy, 100% Love stars Chaitanya opposite Tamannaah Bhatia. The story follows the love-hate relationship between two cousins. Directed by Sukumar, the film received critical acclaim and was a commercial hit.

Manam (2014)
Manam is a Telugu fantasy drama directed by Vikram Kumar. Produced by the Akkineni family, the film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shriya Saran. It explores themes of rebirth and eternal love across different time periods.
Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo (2016)
Chaitanya’s next top movie, Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is a romantic action thriller directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film features Chaitanya alongside Manjima Mohan. It follows a carefree young man who after falling in love, finds himself caught in a risky situation that pushes him to face unexpected challenges.
Premam (2016)
Oka Laila Kosam follows Karthik (Chaitanya), who after completing his post-graduate studies, goes on a holiday to Europe. During his return journey, he falls in love with Nandana (portrayed by Pooja Hegde) at first sight. The film explores his efforts to win her heart.
Dhootha (2023)
Apart from films, Chaitanya has also starred in the web series Dhootha, a horror mystery thriller created and directed by Vikram Kumar. The series follows a journalist named Sagar whose life is turned upside down when newspapers predict chilling events that start to unfold in his life.

Naga Chaitanya Birthday: Family Life
Naga Chaitanya was born on November 23, 1986, in Chennai to actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati, the daughter of producer D. Ramanaidu. His family has deep roots in the film industry as his grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao was a legendary actor.
His maternal uncle Daggubati Venkatesh, along with cousins Sumanth, Sushant and Rana Daggubati are also actors. After his parents’ divorce, Chaitanya lived with his mother in Chennai.
Growing up, Chaitanya always had a passion for acting. He enrolled in an acting course in Mumbai during his second year of college and later trained in Los Angeles in both acting and martial arts. He also worked on improving his Telugu diction.
In 2017, Chaitanya married his co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu with whom he had worked in films like Ye Maaya Chesave and Manam. However, in October 2021, the couple announced their separation, marking the end of their marriage.
Naga Chaitanya Birthday: Love Story With Sobhita Dhulipala
After his separation from Samantha Ruth Prabhu in 2021, Chaitanya moved on and got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala in August this year. The couple had a private engagement ceremony at Nagarjuna’s house in Hyderabad.
The duo met in May 2022 in Hyderabad where Sobhita was promoting her film Major. During the same visit, she celebrated her birthday and Chaitanya attended the celebrations. Over the next two years, the couple spent a lot of time together including vacations but kept their relationship private as the rumours sparked.
To put the speculations to rest, they posted their engagement pictures on social media. Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are now set to marry on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
