New Delhi. Mahindra’s three SUV vehicles have set a new example in terms of passenger safety. Recently, Bharat NCAP has crash tested Mahindra’s three SUVs XUV 400, XUV 3XO and Thar Roxx, in which all three vehicles have received a 5-star rating.
This achievement reflects the high safety standards of Mahindra in its electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. These vehicles have performed well in adult and child occupant safety. Let us know how all three SUVs scored in the crash test.
XUV 400 EV: Example of safety in electric segment
Mahindra’s electric SUV XUV 400 EV has set a new example of safety by achieving 5-star rating for adult and child occupant safety. Bharat NCAP tested both its trims EC Pro and EL Pro and both were found to meet high safety standards. In Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), the SUV scored 30.38 out of 32, which is higher than the Tata Nexon EV (29.86), but slightly lower than the Curve EV and Punch EV.
Was the performance of Thar Rocks tremendous?
Mahindra Thar Rocks set a new standard by scoring 31.09/32. It has become one of the safest vehicles in the segment. It scored 15.09 out of 16 in the frontal offset test and a full 16 points in the side impact test.
If we talk about safety features, child seats were installed safely in Thar Rocks with the help of ISOFIX anchors and support legs. Features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and seat belt reminders are standard in all variants. Additional features like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) have been provided in its higher variants.
XUV 3XO: A new identity for safety in the compact segment
Mahindra XUV 3XO also scored a 5-star rating in India NCAP. It scored 29.36 out of 32 in Adult Occupant Safety. Bharat NCAP tested its AX7 L and MX2 variants, but this rating is applicable to the entire model range.
Features like front airbags, side head curtain airbags and side chest airbags are standard in this SUV. Apart from this, features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ISOFIX anchors and seat belt pre-tensioners are also available across all variants.
