Almora. Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs no introduction. Dhoni will also be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). Chennai Super Kings has retained him for Rs 4 crore. MS Dhoni’s ancestral village is located at a distance of about 52 kilometers from Almora district headquarters of Uttarakhand. The name of his village is Lwali. He had come to the village last year for worship. Local 18 correspondent went to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s village and talked to his relatives about his playing in IPL 2025.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s younger brother Hem Singh Dhoni told Local 18 that it feels good to see brother Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the cricket field once a year. He is happy that this time too he will be seen playing. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is his elder brother and it is possible that the IPL to be held in 2025 may be his last IPL. His dream is that once again his team wins the IPL trophy.
The heartbeats stop as soon as MS Dhoni enters the field.
Gaurav Singh Dhoni told Local 18 that Mahendra Singh Dhoni seems to be his uncle. He is very happy that this time again he will be seen playing in IPL. When he enters the field, everyone’s heartbeat stops and there is no limit to happiness. He believes that this time perhaps this could be his last IPL. If this time his team wins the trophy, the villagers will be very happy. Gaurav said that when uncle came to the village last year, no one believed it. Here he visited his home and temples and offered prayers. Arjun Singh Dhoni, resident of Lvavi village, said that Dhoni is his elder brother and he feels that this time might be his last IPL. He believes that this time again he can win the trophy.
