On Monday morning, a tragic road accident took place due to dense fog in Gajraula police station area of Pilibhit. Two trucks collided with each other near Khag Sarai village, after which a bus full of laborers going from Ludhiana to Gorakhpur also collided with these trucks. A truck driver died in an accident

The accident happened around 7 am, when visibility on the highway was very low due to fog. Two trucks traveling at high speed first collided with each other and stopped there on the highway. Meanwhile, a bus going from Ludhiana to Gorakhpur carrying about 50 laborers collided with trucks. After the accident, both the bus and the truck were badly damaged.

Vishal, a passenger in the bus, said, “We were all sleeping. Suddenly the bus braked heavily, but the bus could not stop and collided with the trucks. After the collision, there was chaos inside the bus. Screams everywhere. There was an uproar.” As soon as information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot. The driver’s body was taken out after cutting the cabin of the truck. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital, where the condition of three is critical.
jam and relief work
Due to the accident, there was a two kilometer long traffic jam on both sides of the highway. Passengers remained stuck in the traffic jam for several hours. Police started the work of removing the damaged vehicles from the highway with the help of cranes. Gajraula police station in-charge said that the accident occurred due to fog. Some of the injured have been discharged after first aid, while three seriously injured people are undergoing treatment in the district hospital.
