Haldwani. Along with swimming pool, diving pool and learning swimming pool have also been built in the Indira Gandhi International Sports Complex located at Gaulapar, Haldwani, Uttarakhand. A large number of people come here for swimming but due to lack of hot water in the pool, the pool is closed in winters but now this will not happen. A hot water plant is being installed in the swimming pool of the stadium. After which people coming for swimming will be able to get hot water in the pool.
District Sports Officer Nirmala Pant, while talking to Local 18, said that there are three pools in the Gaulapar Stadium, including a big pool, a diving and a learning pool. A large number of swimmers go swimming in summer but in winter the pool is closed, which creates problems for the swimmers as well as the people coming to learn swimming. Keeping this in view, the department is installing heat plants in all three pools, so that the people coming here can swim easily even in the winter season. These will be started soon.
