Sunidhi Chauhan has earlier created a rendition of Pakistani singer’s 1981 classic Disco Deewane, which Nazia Hassan performed alongside her brother Zohaib Hassan.
Sunidhi Chauhan has once again made headlines, and this time it is for a mind-blowing rendition of an old classic. Sunidhi recreated late vocalist Nazia Hassan’s legendary 1982 song Boom Boom in her signature flair for a new car commercial. While Nazia’s original song from her album had been quite popular, Sunidhi made the music her own with her powerful voice. Sunidhi has also sung an English version but her Hindi rendition stands out.
As the video begins, Sunidhi’s distant voice and familiar lyrics are heard in the new commercial. Her recreation of Boom Boom is most evident when the female actress takes the wheel and speeds out on the road. At the end of the commercial, we see actor Rahul Khanna smile at the female actress from a distance during a shot. Another commercial in which a male vocalist performs a recreated English and Hindi version of Boom Boom, mostly stars Rahul.
Sunidhi has earlier created a rendition of Pakistani singer’s 1981 classic Disco Deewane, which Nazia performed alongside her brother Zohaib Hassan. Vishal-Shekhar remade Disco Deewane for a pivotal dance scene in Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student of the Year. While Nazia’s voice was maintained for the song, Sunidhi took over to sing the hook line at one point of the song.
Recently, Sanya Malhotra posted a stunning photo of herself twinning with Sunidhi Chauhan on her social media account. The image, which features Sanya and Sunidhi in vibrant and fashionable outfits, has sent admirers into a frenzy, with speculation being rife that the two were collaborating on a project.
On the other hand, the singer has been quite popular on her tour around the country. Recently, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal collaborated on their first independent track, Chhaila, which was released on October 14. The song, created by the famed duo Salim-Sulaiman, is noteworthy since it features Shreya rapping for the first time. Chhaila comes from Salim-Sulaiman’s independent music project Bhoomi 2024, and was written by Shraddha Pandit. In the music video, Shreya and Sunidhi also danced effortlessly. The song video ended with the vocalists dropping their microphones.
