This will be needed to make parathas from lentils.
1 cup leftover dal, 1 cup wheat flour, 1/4 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp celery, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, salt as per taste and Oil or ghee for frying. You can make tasty dal parathas using all these ingredients.
Prepare paratha from dal like this
To make lentil parathas, first mash the remaining lentil thoroughly, so that no grains remain. After this, take wheat flour in a big vessel. Add celery, asafoetida, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt and mix well. Now add mashed dal left over from last night and knead the dough by adding water little by little.
Serve with chutney or sauce
When your dough is kneaded well, make small balls of this dough and roll each ball into a round shape. Now apply some oil on it and roll it again. Now heat a pan on the gas and place the paratha on it and cook it from both the sides. When the paratha starts turning golden from both the sides, apply oil or ghee on it and cook it. Now your hot parathas are ready. You can eat it with chutney or sauce.
