A fire broke out in an illegally running furniture warehouse in the residential area of Shakti Nagar in Lucknow on Friday evening. The lives of 40 people working there were in danger. The woman cooking in the warehouse says that she was cooking in the evening when a fire broke out in the mattress factory.

Within no time the fire spread so much that it engulfed the entire factory. Small cylinders used for chemicals, colours, food and other purposes started exploding. From workers to owners ran outside to save their lives. Someone ran away by climbing the wall and someone ran away by jumping from the window. Nurbano remained sitting outside the warehouse with her three children till around 11 pm till the fire was extinguished.
Trapped in luggage, life saved Nurbano, wife of Ali Hussain, originally a resident of Wazirganj in Bahraich, kept crying while sitting with her children outside the factory after the incident. He says that the entire household has been destroyed in the fire. As soon as the fire broke out, she ran outside with her son Mehtab, daughter Safia and Sadan in her lap.
The husband got trapped in the fire while trying to pick up some belongings. A burning mattress fell near him, but the person above saved him. Somehow his life was saved.
Anil, who worked in the factory, got burnt while trying to extinguish the fire.
They brought a fire extinguisher, but the fire had already erupted. Anil Kumar, who works in a mattress factory, told what he saw with his eyes. He was the first to see the fire and got burnt while extinguishing the fire. Anil told that the mattress was kept near the electrical board. Then suddenly a fire broke out. I ran shouting to get the cylinder kept on the second floor.
Came down and tried to extinguish it, but by then the fire had already erupted. His legs and neck got burnt after falling on the burning mattress. At the time of the incident, about 40 laborers were present along with the three factory owners. The people below ran away by jumping from the front, back gate and window.
At the same time, the laborers working on the second floor ran away by jumping with the help of the mesh wall. If there were no exit routes, a major accident would have occurred.

Factory owner Rafi Ullah says that the negligence of the mattress warehouse owner cost us dearly.

He says that as soon as the fire broke out, everyone ran towards the first gate, but the mattresses spread there had caught fire, so people ran out through the second gate and window doors.
He says that both the owners had complained to the warehouse operator about the mattress factory operator placing the goods in the middle and covering them till the gate, but no hearing was held.
After the fire, a large crowd of people gathered at the spot.

On receiving information about the fire, Hazratganj FSO Ram Kumar Rawat reached the spot with two fire engines. On receiving information that the fire was getting worse, FSO Mangesh Kumar also reached Hazratganj, Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar and Chowk with fire engines.
According to the CFO, the fire started from the side of the mattress factory due to short circuit and spread inside. Due to which the goods kept in the furniture warehouse also caught fire. About 10 fire tenders brought the fire under control by pouring water from three sides. Due to the building being filled with smoke, firefighters carried out rescue operations wearing BA (Breading Operators Set). Almost every vehicle must have taken 5 to 6 rounds to extinguish the fire. About 50 thousand liters of water would have been required to extinguish the fire.
