Almora: The terror of monkeys is continuously increasing in the mountains, due to which cases of capture and sterilization of monkeys are also coming to the fore. A similar case has come to light from Bageshwar. In fact, a case has come to light of monkeys captured from Bageshwar being released in Binsar, Almora after sterilization in Ranibagh. Three people who had come to release the monkeys were taken hostage by the villagers.
Well, today everyone in rural areas is troubled by the terror of monkeys. But as soon as the monkeys were released in Binsar. The villagers protested against this and created a ruckus. As soon as the forest department officials got information about this, they gave written assurance to release the monkeys in Bageshwar area again. Only then did the villagers release three people.
Villagers caught 3 people who came to drop the monkey
According to the villagers, on Friday last a truck full of monkeys was going from the clothing store towards Takula. Villagers caught 3 youths near Basauli. He told that he had come from Mathura to catch monkeys and had caught about 78 monkeys from Kapkot, which were brought from Ranibagh for sterilization. After sterilization, the monkeys were to be released again at Kapkot, but they released the monkeys between Patiyakhali and Churadi near Basauli.
As soon as the villagers came to know about this, they took all three people hostage. After this, after a long uproar, ND Pandey, Kapkot Ranger of the Forest Department, reached the spot and gave written assurance. After this the villagers released the three youths.
Questions raised on the work of forest department
Villagers have raised questions on the forest department. People said that if the area from which the monkeys were caught is as per the rules. If they are not left in the same area, they will go to other areas and create terror. Due to which the people of rural areas will face problems and their farming will also be affected.
