Chhavi Mittal revealed how she got her face paralyzed because she moved slightly during the procedure.
Chhavi Mittal, a popular TV actress and breast cancer survivor, has been open about her problems and triumphs during the most difficult time in her life. She documented her pains, diagnosis, surgery, and scars, as well as what helped her fight and get back to living a normal life. Recently, the actress shared her unfortunate experience of getting Botox and the side effects of such treatments.
In a conversation with Dr Agni Kumar Bose on his podcast, Chhavi Mittal, revealed, “This was the first time I ever got a needle done to the face… I’m not scared of pain, I’m not scared of needles. My pain threshold, I believe, is very high. But it was something I was not anticipating.” She mentioned how a slight movement during the procedure caused the botox to go wrong. “Main thodi hili, aur unka haath thoda hila (So I moved a little, and their hand moved a little)… and the Botox went in the wrong place. And I had a paralyzed face for over a year. As an actor, it was a very, very tough phase for me,” she stated.
Sharing the snippet of the conversation, Chhavi mentioned in the post, “I’m not saying procedures done to the face are bad in any way! But it helps to know the risks involved so one can make an informed decision, right? When I got Botox done, nobody told me. Watch this episode of my podcast series #SilverLinings where Doctor Agni busts the myths and also sets the record straight for a lot of cosmetic procedures that are really common today.” Most of her admirers praised her for openly talking about the issue. One of them stated, “Thank God people are speaking about these risks openly…people should know these.”
Meanwhile, Chhavi, who has appeared in television shows such as Tumhari Disha, Ek Chutki Aasma, Krishnadasi, Adaalat, and others, revealed that she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in 2022. Early this year, she informed her admirers that she had totally recovered from cancer and was working towards her health objectives. On the personal front, the actress is married to filmmaker Mohit Hussein, with whom she has two children: son Arham, and daughter Areeza.
