Along with this, Dehradun Police has also started a campaign to convince their parents. For this, Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh himself took to the streets.
SSP Ajay Singh took disciplinary action against the youth who violated traffic rules. During this, the SSP immediately called the parents of the youth who broke the traffic rules and talked to them. During this time, by informing the family of a minor about putting his life in danger by violating the traffic rules, the SSP appealed to make the children aware of the traffic rules at his level.
Voluntary organizations will do counseling
Dehradun Police will also work by involving some voluntary organizations in the campaign to teach traffic rules to the youth. This NGO will counsel the students and youth who break traffic rules and talk to their parents on the spot. Along with this, parents will also be counseled if needed. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said in this regard that the police is creating awareness among the youth who are risking their lives by driving at high speed and without helmet. In the coming days, some voluntary organizations will also be kept on the spot for counselling. Police will also be present with them.
Quick action in 198 cases in Dehradun
SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh, who took to the streets, took action in a total of 198 cases under the new police campaign. Of these, challans were issued in 117 cases for driving without helmet, four for rash driving, 70 for breaking traffic rules and 7 for minors. During this time, the police immediately called the parents of 198 people who broke the rules and talked to them, and they were also counseled. Apart from this, action was taken against 193 other drivers for violating traffic rules.
