Srinagar Garhwal. If a woman is having delayed periods or is experiencing excessive bleeding and unbearable pain during periods, then it may be a sign of endometriosis. Endometriosis occurs when endometrial tissue (tissue of the uterus) starts growing in other parts of the body instead of the uterus. This tissue can form scar tissue over time, which can later turn into cancer or it can also cause problems like infertility in women.
Dr. Vikas Kumar, senior pathologist of the Joint Sub-District Hospital of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, while talking to Local 18, said that patients suffering from endometrial scars keep coming to him, but many times the patients are not even aware of it. Due to this, they take many types of medicines but the real disease is not detected.
This is how scar tissue is formed
Dr Vikas explains that endometriosis is a health problem in women, in which the endometrial tissue found inside the uterus starts growing outside the uterus. Due to this, women start experiencing unbearable pain. It thickens with every period and then breaks. Since this tissue does not have a way to get out of the body, it is unable to get out of the body and gets stuck. The woman suffering from this experiences very severe pain, especially during periods. This puts pressure on the surrounding tissue and scar tissue starts forming, which can later take the form of cancer.
consult a doctor
He further said that if any woman sees any of these symptoms, she should immediately get it examined by a pathologist after consulting a doctor. If this disease is caught on time, its treatment is possible. It can be treated through surgery. If this problem is not diagnosed in time, it can later become a big problem in the form of cancer.
