Dehradun. Police has made a big revelation in the case of murder of property dealer Manjesh Kumar in Patelnagar Kotwali area of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. In this murder case that took place on November 30, the police have arrested four people including mastermind Sanjay alias Fauji. Property dispute and greed for money were the main reasons behind the murder. Sanjay alias Fauji and Manjesh were doing property dealing work together for a long time. ‘Fauji’ had expected huge profits in the land deal done on Rajpur Road, Sahastradhara and Jhajhra Highway, but Manjesh was demanding equal share in it. This dispute forced the soldier to plot the murder of Manjesh.
According to information received from the police, there is another shocking twist in this story. Before the murder, Manjesh Kumar had given contract to Arjun Gusain to eliminate Sanjay Fauji, but Arjun told this to Fauji, due to which the whole game changed. After this the soldier asked Arjun to kill Manjesh. Arjun included his partner Sachin in this murder plan. Sachin was told that after the murder he could withdraw Rs 38 lakh from Manjesh’s account. After this, both of them called Manjesh to Yamunotri Vihar Phase-2 Chandrabani on the pretext of party. Manjesh, who was under the influence of alcohol, was strangled to death with a shoe lace. After the murder, both the accused were trying to dispose of the dead body but this plan failed because they did not know how to drive. When the police arrived, both of them failed in their attempt to escape by jumping from the roof.
Mastermind soldier gave lure of Rs 10 crore
Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh said that Sanjay alias Fauji continuously lured Arjun and Sachin with money to complete this murder. After the murder, he gave Arjun 50 thousand rupees and the keys of Manjesh’s car. It is noteworthy that there was a deal between Arjun and Sanjay Fauji for the murder of Manjesh for Rs 10 crore. Police investigation linked the murder to Haryana and Vikasnagar. Sachin had already been arrested, while Arjun was planning to surrender in Sonipat court. The police caught him from outside the court.
The soldier retired from the army in 2018.
He said that Sanjay alias Fauji, who retired from the army in 2018, had no criminal record. According to the police, this is the first time he has committed such a serious crime.
