What is Ghoda Library?
Ghoda Library was started by Shubham Badhani, Library Coordinator of Himottaan Sanstha and President of Sankalp Youth Foundation, resident of Amlakot, Kotabagh in Nainital district. The objective of this library is to commit to provide the benefits of education to rural children and to deliver books to those areas where it is challenging to deliver education through traditional means. Ghoda Library, which started on June 12 last year, delivers books to children on a weekly cycle. Books are sent to rural areas through horse. After a week these books are taken back and new books are distributed. This process not only promotes the habit of reading but also gives children the opportunity to get information on various subjects.
