Renowned TV actress, Rupali Ganguly, shared a heartfelt note to wish Anupamaa’s producer, Rajan Shahi, a happy birthday. On Tuesday, December 3, the actress posted a series of pictures with the producer along with the note, in which she reminisced about her decades-long association with him. Rupali also expressed her gratitude to the 53-year-old director-turned-producer.
The Anupamaa actress’ Instagram carousel included some fond pictures of her with Rajan Shahi over the years. Sharing those, Rupali wrote, “From being my director to my producer to becoming an extremely integral part of my life ….. the transition has spanned 24 years, especially since you got Anupamaa into my life 4 years back.”
Further, she thanked the producer for providing her with the platform to kickstart her career in showbiz once again and for always pushing her in life. “From almost becoming a has-been actor to giving me this massive platform and recognition….From me taking 10 steps back to you pushing me 20 steps forward… from constantly teaching me about life… treating me like a child… showing me my strength…. making me stand tall… to having my innate faith that no matter what YOU have my back always …” added Rupali.
The Anupamaa actress concluded her post by highlighting her immense respect for the show’s producer. She mentioned, “I have so so so much to be grateful to you for. Anupamaa is not just a show anymore …For me, it is an emotion called Rajan Shahi. I could never call you my friend because friendship mein lines blurred ho jaati hai, and the respect that I have for you is immense. So here’s wishing my mentor.. the master storyteller, very Happy Birthday …. Wish u health, happiness and peace always … Stay blessed always.”
Soon after the post, Rupali’s fans flooded the comment section with their birthday wishes for Rajan Shahi, who turned 53 this year. The actress’ fans penned their heartfelt wishes for the producer.
Speaking of Rupali Ganguly, the 47-year-old actress has been in the news for her ongoing feud with her stepdaughter, Esha Verma. The latter has levied some serious allegations against the actress. Meanwhile, Rupali responded to the allegations with a Rs 50 crore defamation lawsuit. Amid the feud, Rajan Shahi stood by the actress. On November 13, Anupamaa’s producer penned a long note on his Instagram account, a part of which said, “Rupali, you inspire all of us each day, every moment, at DKP/Shahi Productions for your hard work, dedication, talent, honesty, integrity, and humility.”
Anupamaa, which premiered on Star Plus in 2020, is one of the most-watched daily soaps on Indian television. Recently, a 15-year leap was introduced in the family drama, which witnessed the exit of the old cast.
