According to the prosecution, Ajay Prakash, son of Virendra Singh, resident of village Adda Gular of Friends Colony police station area, alleged in the report lodged at the police station that on July 14, 2022, he had gone to his son Sachin Kumar’s house in Sunderpur in the evening. Rajiv Kumar, son of Om Prakash, resident of Mohabbatpur police station Basrehar also came there. The three of us had dinner together. He came to his home.
Sachin and Rajiv stayed in the house in Sundarpur. Then, when he got a chance during the night, Rajiv killed Sachin by hitting him on the head with a sharp weapon and ran away. On the morning of 15th July, when he went to the house in Sunderpur, the doors were locked from inside. He called Sachin to wake him up but got no response.
On this he went to the terrace and peeped through the grill and saw Sachin’s body lying on the cot. Informed the police on this. Police reached the spot on information and inspected the incident site and sent the body for post-mortem. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case of murder against Rajeev Kumar. Later the police arrested the accused Rajiv Kumar.
During interrogation, he told that he had bought jewelery for his wife on loan from Sachin’s shop. When Sachin did not pay the money, he got the deed of his land transferred. He was pressurizing him to do the deed and due to this he killed Sachin. Police had recovered Sachin’s ring and mobile from him. After investigation, the police presented the charge sheet against Rajiv Kumar in the court.
The case was heard in Additional District and Sessions Judge Court No. 1. The case was represented by Additional District Government Advocate Tarun Kumar Shukla. On the basis of the evidence and witnesses presented by him, the court found Rajiv Kumar guilty.
