Haldwani. Cases of fraud in the name of buying and selling of land are continuously coming to light in Uttarakhand. A surprising case of fraud in purchasing land from Haldwani (Haldwani Land Fraud) has come to light. Here a person has committed fraud of more than Rs 1.5 crore by selling the same land to 25 people. After which there is panic in the entire area. On Thursday, the victims of fraud along with Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida reached DIG Kumaon Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat and narrated to him the entire ordeal that happened to them. He assured the victims of action against the culprit.
According to the information received, a huge fraud has taken place in the purchase and sale of land. Here, 25 people living in village Okhalkanda of Bhimtal assembly constituency were defrauded of about Rs 1.5 crore. Bhimtal MLA Ram Singh Kaida told that the name of the accused is Dipanshu Belwal. He has sold the same land to 25 people.
Revealed after registration
After getting the land registered, when people wanted to get the registration rejected, the person selling the land did not have the area of that land. After which it was revealed that Dipanshu Belwal had sold the same land to different people. This is how people came to know that they were cheated. The accused has cheated all the people of more than Rs 1.5 crore. The victims reached Bhimtal and met MLA Ram Singh Kaida. The MLA brought them to DIG Kumaon Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat, where the victims told the DIG the plight of being cheated in the purchase and sale of land.
DIG assured action
Bhimtal MLA met the DIG and demanded him to return the money of the victims and take strictest action against the accused. In this matter, DIG Dr. Rawat said that whatever legal action will be taken on the basis of the complaint of the victims, will be implemented. Any kind of fraud with people will not be tolerated. The accused will be caught soon and if necessary, action will also be taken against him under the Gangster Act.
