Haldwani. Once again a unique marriage is going to take place in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. This is the marriage of a common man with Lord Shri Krishna. Earlier, the marriage of 21 year old Harshika Pant, resident of Haldwani, with Lord Shri Krishna was in the headlines. After which now Bhavna, a resident of Haldwani, is going to marry Lord Shri Krishna at the age of 55. On Thursday, Bhavna will tie the sacred knot of marriage with Lord Shri Krishna. At the auspicious time, there will be auspicious songs, Shehnai will sound and ‘Tika’ will be the omen of the wedding procession. Every Haldwani resident will witness this wonderful meeting. All preparations for the marriage have been completed.
Originally resident of Haldwani, Bhavna’s association with Shri Krishna is 30 years old. Bhavana has been continuously serving Lord Shri Krishna for the last 30 years by living in Pancheshwar Temple located in Awas Vikas Colony, Haldwani. She considers Lord Krishna as her family. Now she is going to get married to Kanha only.
Idol of Lord Krishna brought from Vrindavan
All the rituals of marriage with Lord Shri Krishna have started in Bhavana’s house since last few days. The auspicious work started with the worship of Ganesh at the auspicious time in the morning yesterday. The women invited the Gods and Goddesses to attend the marriage by singing the Shagun Aankhar ‘Suva Se Suva Bankhandi Suva, Ja Suva Nagari Mein Nyot Diya…’. The bride applied turmeric in the evening. After which the bride Bhavna and her friends applied henna in the name of Shri Krishna on their hands. After which the procession will be prepared from Awas Vikas Pancheshwar Temple today i.e. on Thursday. The procession will take out from different places of the colony with bands and music. Then the marriage will take place with the idol of Shri Krishna in the temple. For which the Pancheshwar Temple Committee has brought the idol of Shri Krishna from Vrindavan. The idol has been decorated. Kanha has been decorated like a groom. On Thursday, crowns will be decorated on the heads of the bride and groom and then both will take seven rounds.
Colony residents and temple committee will bear the expenses
Bhavna’s parents passed away years ago. His two real brothers will attend the wedding procession. The entire expense of Bhavna’s marriage with Kanha will be borne by the temple committee and the people of the colony. Apart from this, other people of the city have also come forward to support Bhavna’s marriage. Arrangements for food have also been made for the wedding processions and the role of wedding guests will be played by officials of the temple committee.
