Nupur Pant, in a special conversation with Local 18, said that she has sung many famous songs of Uttarakhand like Kaile Baje Muruli, Roop Sara Moti. Crores of views have come on these songs. His aim is to take the folk songs of Uttarakhand to the country and abroad through his voice and to give them a distinct identity. Her songs can be seen and heard on her YouTube channel Nupur Pant and other music streaming platforms. Traditional instruments of Uttarakhand like Dhol, Damau, Mashkbeen, Hudke etc. have been used in his music album.

Nupur Pant told that her music career started from different stages of Nainital. He sang a bhajan to welcome actress Hema Malini in the Sharadotsav organized in Nainital. After which he did many stage shows in Nainital itself. Nupur, who completed her schooling from the city’s prestigious St. Mary’s Convent School, after completing her college studies from Delhi, reached Mumbai to give wings to her dreams, where she initially did many music ads. After which she got a chance to sing in filmmaker Karan Johar’s Bollywood film Hasee Toh Phasee. After this he performed with Bollywood celebrities like famous music composer Vishal Shekhar and singer Mohit Chauhan.

Many of his Pahari mashup songs are available on his YouTube channel. He told that at this time social media is the best platform for people. His new song Winter Land will soon be released on his channel, in which the beauty of the state is being filmed on the folk songs of Uttarakhand.
