In view of the possibility of increase in incidents of theft and vandalism with the onset of winter, the Ghazipur police administration has taken extensive steps. Village Security Committees have been reconstituted in 1335 villages regarding security in rural areas. In these committees till now

The police have organized meetings with the members of these committees with the aim of preventing crimes during winter season and maintaining peace in the villages. Senior officers of each police station participated in these meetings and sensitized the committee members, respected citizens and religious leaders for crime prevention and maintaining mutual harmony.
Different WhatsApp groups are being created to connect all the committee members and establish faster communication. This will make it easier to share quick information between the committees and the police and control crime.
Appeal to keep an eye on suspects The incidents of theft and vandalism increase during winter due to dark nights and cold. The police have called upon village security committees to play an active role in dealing with this challenge. The committees have been instructed to increase vigilance in their villages and immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Ghazipur Police, along with Village Security Committees, has appealed to the villagers to remain alert, keep an eye on strangers in the village and immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the police.
