District Government Advocate Criminal Shyamsunder Mishra said that about 18 months ago, on June 3, 2023, Chandrabhan, a resident of Kashi Nath hamlet of Biyawal village, had lodged a report at Mau police station. According to the plaintiff, on June 2, 2023, he was out of his house at around 7:30 in the evening.
During this time, his 19-year-old son Nanku was ambushed near his house by neighbor Usha Devi, wife Munnu Kevat and her son Shiv Autar and attacked with an ax and sticks. He also caused serious injury and killed his son. He informed the police about this. After registering the report of the case, the police conducted postmortem of the body.
Also, a charge sheet was filed in the court against murder accused Usha Devi and her son Shiv Autar. According to plaintiff Chandrabhan, his son Nanku used to talk to Usha’s daughter. Due to this rivalry, Usha and Shiv Avtaar had killed Nanku.
After hearing the arguments of the defense and prosecution, Sessions Judge Vikas Kumar Pratham pronounced the verdict on Friday. In which, after being proven guilty, the murderer Usha Devi and her son Shiv Autar were sentenced to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 10,000 each has been imposed on both of them.
