However, the police found 5 murderers including the main accused within 24 hours of the incident. A miscreant was also shot in the police encounter, whose treatment is ongoing. To escape from the city, he had reached Lanka area where he was shot by the police. However, the injured accused has been admitted to the hospital by the police.
A woman was also included among the murderers arrested by the police. All of them have been raided and picked up from different places. Apart from this, the police is searching for 2-3 other associates who are hiding somewhere in the city.
After the police encounter, the police took the injured to the hospital.
On Friday midnight, the police, investigating the murder of driver Suresh Rajbhar (34) in Sudamapur, Shankuldhara Pokhara area and searching for the killers, got important clues from the CCTV footage. Apart from family members, local people were told that the accused in Suresh’s murder were his friends, who used to hang out with him and drink alcohol every day. Even before the incident, everyone had consumed alcohol together.
After this, everyone’s numbers were put on surveillance and three police teams started searching, along with Bhelupur, Lanka Police was also deployed. Police cordoned off the presence of main accused Vishal Sonkar in Ramna area of Lanka area and arrested the main accused Vishal Sonkar of Kirhiya, Khojwa in the encounter.
Before that, the police raided and arrested Vicky Jaiswal of Khojwa, Manoj Kumar Chauhan of Manikpur Bajardiha, Achhe Chauhan alias Kallu of Shankuldhara Pokhara and Kusum Devi of Sudamapur. Police are now searching for Aryan Sonkar of Sudamapur, besides Satish Sonkar and Ajay.
The police team including DCP Kashi Zone Gaurav Banswal along with ACP Bhelupur were involved in the encounter.
Woman also included among five accused
DCP Kashi Zone Gaurav Banswal said that four accused including the woman were arrested by the police teams after raiding the areas around Sudamapur. It was found out about Vishal that he would call one of his acquaintances in Ramna area at night and take money and then run away somewhere out of the city. On receiving this information, Lanka police station incharge Shivakant Mishra and Bhelupur police station incharge Vijay Kumar Shukla laid siege with the force and Vishal opened fire. In response of the police, he was shot in his right leg and he was caught. A .32 bore country-made pistol and a cartridge used in the murder of Suresh have been recovered from him. The search for the other three accused is ongoing.
After the youth was shot dead, the police immediately started investigation and search for the attackers.

Suresh Rajbhar (34), son of Rajnath, resident of Sudamapur of Bhelpur police station area, was a loader driver and used to drive a businessman’s auto. After returning from work, he used to sit with some people of the locality till late night and also smoke alcohol and cigarettes with them. On Thursday, around 11 pm, Suresh was sitting with eight-ten people about 50 meters away from his house, during which they had a dispute among themselves. The dispute escalated so much that a fight broke out between the two. First everyone together beat Suresh fiercely.
After this the attackers shot the loader driver. The attackers fired 3-4 rounds in rapid succession. First the bullet hit Suresh in the right temple, as soon as he was shot, he fell on the ground bleeding, after that he was shot in the middle of the chest and on the right thigh. The attackers are all residents of the same locality and committed the crime in a street just 50 meters away from the house.
Raju Sonkar told the police that late Thursday night, Vicky, Manoj, Kallu, Aryan, Vishal, Satish and Ajay had an altercation with his younger brother Suresh near their house. After this everyone started beating him. When he ran away, Vishal shot him dead near the house. After this, the police arrested Vishal Sonkar in an encounter in Ramna area and arrested the other four in a raid.
