Tehri Garhwal. A new controversy has arisen in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Here in Narendra Nagar, there is an uproar over offering namaz indoors. Here, group prayers were organized by the people of Muslim community by calling the Maulvi at home. At the same time, Hindu organizations and Bajrang Dal workers lodged a protest against this entire matter. He called it an attack on the culture and social fabric of Uttarakhand. People associated with Hindu organizations say that if such an incident happens again, they will recite Hanuman Chalisa on Friday in the homes of people of a particular community. Whereas Bajrang Dal today (6 December 2024) recited Hanuman Chalisa at Soban Singh Negi Community Hall.
According to the information received, a special mass namaz was organized in Narendra Nagar of Tehri, which was organized by a person named Abdul Samad by calling a Maulvi from Doiwala. Arrangements were made to offer namaz together at home. As soon as Hindu organizations came to know about this, they strongly opposed it. The workers of Rashtriya Hindu Shakti Sangathan and Bajrang Dal lodged a protest on this entire matter and talked about reciting Hanuman Chalisa in the homes of people of a particular community.
Allegation of lack of police verification
State President of Rashtriya Hindu Shakti Sangathan Raghav Bhatnagar alleged that efforts are being made to bring demographic change in the state through mass namaz. He says that police verification of the people offering Namaz has not been done, which is not good from security point of view. Hindu organizations have demanded the administration to stop this activity immediately and warned that it should be stopped as soon as possible, otherwise they will protest on a large scale.

Many videos of this incident are going viral on social media. Some of these people are seen arguing with that Muslim family. In this matter, the SDM said that talks are also being held with the people of the organizations which warned against reciting Hanuman Chalisa so that any kind of religious frenzy does not arise.
