Serious allegations of corruption against Bharatiya Janata Party’s District Panchayat President Aarti Rawat have been found true. After being found guilty in the administrative investigation, the government has seized his administrative and financial rights.
.
The government has formed a three-member committee to run the District Panchayat, which includes District Panchayat members Palak Rawat, Anita, and Shashipal. There is about one and a half year left in the tenure of Aarti Rawat, but now after snatching her powers, this committee will look after the work of operation.
Neetu Rawat, BJP’s district panchayat member from Gosaiganj, had made serious allegations against Aarti of corruption and financial irregularities. The allegations included misuse of scheme budgets, irregularities in the tender process, and putting pressure on officers to take arbitrary decisions.
Investigation found that Aarti misused the funds during her tenure, ignoring the rules of the District Panchayat. Money was also spent on road construction and other projects in a non-district panchayat area. However, complainant Neetu Rawat has not been included in the three-member committee.
